#2 Beware the wire

We’ve become so used to shuffling money around electronically using debit cards, credit cards, and online payments that many of us have probably let our guard down to some degree. Criminals know that there are some protections in place for consumers when they use credit and debit cards, and that is the reason they will often insist that potential victims of their scams wire money to them. It’s almost impossible to reverse a wire transfer, so once it’s gone, there’s virtually no chance of getting it back. It’s quite likely that someone who insists on a wire transfer is up to no good.
