Having a fear of harm coming to yourself or your loved ones is perfectly normal, within a reasonable capacity, but it’s when they become troubling and have an affect on your life that you need to be careful. Teens who exhibit signs of troubling thoughts regarding violence, or the thought of being attacked may be suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder. Whilst it is normal to fear violence, it is the tendency to constantly have it on your mind that could point to OCD traits. If in doubt, get checked out.
