7. Intrusive sexual thoughts
Sufferers with this variation of OCD can have their thoughts invaded by ideas of sexual activity that is not appropriate, and can make them question their own sexuality. These might include thoughts about homosexual behavior in people who consider themselves straight. Ideas relating so sexual assault or other violent sexual acts also may surface. This causes the sufferer to question why they are having these thoughts, and fear that they may be a bad person, while someone without OCD would normally dismiss such thoughts and inappropriate and not dwell on them.
