6. Fear of violence
While it’s prudent for everyone to lock their doors at night and be aware of their surroundings when out in public, behaviors that indicate am irrational fear of something violent occurring may be an indicator of OCD. Taking steps to avoid areas due to the fear of violence when those steps are not really warranted is cause for concern. The behavior also may extend to other,s and more than the typical measure of concern for their safety which may be indicated by the OCD sufferer doing things like calling someone multiple times a day to make sure they are OK.
