3. They are not trying to please and impress their teachers
The C students don’t waste their time and energy making attempts to satisfy or amaze their teachers. They respect them but they don’t take everything they say as gospel. They don’t rely upon résumés or references any longer. They understand that in the world today, their work speaks for them — it’s online for the viewing pleasure of anyone.
