8. Poe Toaster
The true identity of Poe Toaster remains unknown despite his constant visiting of author Edgar Allan Poe’s grave every 19th day of January which is the author’s birthday. Poe Toaster started doing this from 1949, and each time he would raise a cognac toast and leave half a bottle of cognac and three roses on the grave before walking off. This tradition was stopped in 2010 for reasons we don’t know, but he has never been identified.
