A lot of what’s contained in this article provides evidence for the numerous similarities between dogs and humans. Taking that idea too far can lead to serious problems for dogs. For example, some people might think that a medication that’s useful for treating a specific condition in humans will work the same for dogs. That’s not always true, and you should always avoid giving your dog any human medication unless advised to by a veterinarian. Certain pain-killers are an excellent example, since both acetaminophen or ibuprofen can be fatal for dogs.
