3. Tiger Fish

Think of this species as the African version of the piranha. They inhabit many bodies of water on the African Continent and are known as extremely fierce predators that do not have a history of attacking people on a regular basis, but it has happened in the past. Like piranha, they often gather in large schools when they find something good to eat. Not only are these fish scary to look at, they can also grow to scary sizes. The version of this type of fish that is known as the Goliath tiger fish can grow to weigh as much as 50 pounds. Having one of these nipping at you could definitely ruin a day at the beach!
