#3 White flour

Here’s another good example of a once perfectly good food that man has extensively engineered and manipulated. White flour is heavily processed, which has depleted its nutritional benefits drastically. You’ll find white flour in all kinds of processed foods, even ones you would not expect to contain any kind of flour at all. White flour is treated as a carbohydrate by the body and which it stores, and also causes a spike in blood sugar. It also has very little “staying power,” meaning that hunger returns a short time after it is eaten, which leads to more eating and a rapidly expending belly.
