10 Foods to Boost a Bad Mood

6. Grass-Fed Beef

Much of the commercially raised beef in the supermarket is fed a steady diet of grain. While this method is cheap and will bulk up animals quickly, it is not an ideal diet. Beef that has benefited from a grass-based diet will be healthier, starting with a lower fat content. Additionally, grass-fed beef has higher concentrations of omega-3 fatty acids than grain fed alternatives and a fatty product known as conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). CLA can help reduce stress hormones and can have a positive effect on belly fat.

If you’re already eating lots of lamb, that’s a healthy alternative as well. Grass-fed lamb is rich in iron which is related to mood stability and memory retention.
