You would not use vinegar quite the same way you would use traditional metal polish to clean up your flatware, but the results can be just as pleasing. Simply pour vinegar into a suitable container and put your flatware, or whatever else you want to clean, in the container submerged in vinegar. Leave it to soak for about 15 minutes, rinse it under running water, and then polish lightly with a soft cloth. You’ll be surprised how it makes metal shine without all the hard work that’s often involved when using metal polish.
