9. Don’t Be Too Dominating or be Dominated
The first date is the root of a potential long-run relationship and so, it is important to be on equal footing with your date from the word ‘go.’ Do not try and impose your decisions, maybe of the restaurant of choice or the cuisine, on your date; let him/her speak their mind and then settle the situation through compromise. Involve both yourself and your date in any small or big decision-making and at the same time be ready to voice your own opinion politely and express what you are/aren’t comfortable with. Only through compromise and mutual understanding can a relationship progress, right?
