Although this is probably not in the list of hazardous items most people would come up with, there are hidden dangers in products as innocent-looking as cosmetics. Manufacturers often have more regard for how the product works than its safety. Chemicals called phthalates are added to some cosmetics, and those have been linked with reproductive disorders.
