Both Henry Ford and Thomas Edison did not approve of cigarettes, and both of them refused to hire anyone who smoked, even if they only smoked when they were not on the job. Henry Ford was well-known as an anti-smoking activist in his time, and even coined the term “The Little White Slaver” as another name for cigarettes.
