When cats communicate with people, they often use the same kind of vocalizations they used when they were kittens. When cats communicate among themselves, they use vocalizations that are unique to adult cats, and it’s not always good. Anyone who has heard two cats fighting knows that they can produce many more vocalizations than many people give them credit for.
