As the front man for the Grammy Award-winning group Blues Traveler, John Popper is certainly no stranger to being in the public eye. It may have been the heart attack he suffered in 1999 that prompted him to try gastric bypass surgery. He was then able to lose more than half of his previous 400-plus-pound body weight.
